Recommendations & Decision Process

Holding Page

After completing the Risk Review questionnaire, the client lands on a holding page while the adviser prepares their recommendations. The page shows a reassuring message: "We've received your information and your adviser is reviewing everything. You'll be notified when your personalised recommendations are ready."

Recommendations Page

Once the adviser records and adds a Loom video URL to the client's journey, the Recommendations page becomes available. It includes:

Decision Page — Three Options

The client is presented with three clearly distinct options:

Option 1: Proceed Protected

The client wants to go ahead with the recommended protection. They sign a digital declaration confirming their decision. The journey status changes to "proceeded" and the adviser is notified to begin the application process.

Option 2: Park ("Not Right Now") Thinking About It

The client understands the value but isn't ready to commit right now. They acknowledge that the adviser will follow up. The system automatically creates follow-up reminders at 3, 6, and 12 months. The journey status changes to "parked".

Option 3: Decline Not Proceeding

The client chooses not to proceed with protection. Before declining, they must acknowledge five specific risks:

  1. "I understand that without life insurance, my mortgage debt may pass to my estate or dependants if I die."
  2. "I understand that without critical illness cover, I may face significant financial hardship if diagnosed with a serious illness."
  3. "I understand that without income protection, I may struggle to meet my financial commitments if I cannot work due to illness or injury."
  4. "I understand that Statutory Sick Pay (currently £116.75 per week) may be my only income if I cannot work."
  5. "I acknowledge that I have been advised of the risks and have chosen not to proceed with protection at this time."

All five must be acknowledged before the decline can be submitted. The system creates follow-up reminders. The journey status changes to "declined".

Digital Declaration

All three decision types require a digital signature (typing their full name) and timestamp. The declaration records:

Follow-Up Reminders

When a client parks or declines, the system automatically creates three follow-up reminders:
