Email Automation System

The platform sends automated emails via Resend from [email protected] (verified domain). Emails use professional HTML templates with the Lynton Mortgages logo and branding.

Automated Email Triggers

Email Template System

Templates are stored in the database and can be edited by the adviser through the admin interface. Each template supports variable interpolation using {{variableName}} syntax.

Available variables:

• {{clientName}} — Client's first name
• {{secureLink}} — The client's unique journey URL
• {{adviserName}} — The adviser's name
• {{companyName}} — "Lynton Mortgages"

Email HTML Template

All emails use a consistent HTML template with:

• Navy gradient header with Lynton Mortgages logo and "Our focus is you" tagline
• White body area with navy text
• Teal-coloured links
• Grey footer with FCA regulatory text

Email Logging

Every email (sent or attempted) is logged in the database with:

• Template key, recipient, subject, body
• Status: pending → sent → delivered → opened → clicked (or bounced/failed)
• Timestamps for each status change
• Error messages for failed sends
